Our training camp is based in a perfect location to start our routes, a mix between a 17th century estate, Can Campolier in Banyoles and a 4* hotel Carlemany in the hearth of Girona city.
DISTANCE: 62kms & 745m+
NAVATA: We´ll start from the house Can Campolier and we´re going down to Lake Banyoles. This is an easy ride to start the week, not too technical but with lots of fun through the forest where we´ll pass small villages and picturesque houses allong the way. Once we arrive to the village of Navata, we´ll stop there for a coffee. We´ll coming back from the other side of Lake Banyoles where we´ll stop for lunch and beer on a terrace with spectacular views of the lake.
DISTANCE: 73kms & 1,000m+
JEROBOAM: This ride is the perfect mix of road, trail and some challenging rocky sections. We’ll start off following the Via Verde and wind our way through fields, forests and roads dotted with traditional ‘masia’ buildings. After refuelling with Orangina and pastries from a classic local cafe, the route continues. Gradually the trees start to clear so we’ll take a quick pause for water. Today’s ride has some of the best gravel riding in the region. Those people that like scraping s*** off their bike will love this special route we have arranged for you. Then it’s downhill all the way back to the Can Campolier in time for a G&T, beer or simply relaxation by the pool.
DISTANCE: 62kms & 1,165m+
SANT ANIOL-GIRONA: Another amazing ride where we´ll mix road and trail. Today is the day where we leave the house Can Campolier and we´ll finish in our hotel in the beautiful city of Girona. A well known ride for gravelers passing Sant Aniol, small picturesque and old villages along the way. We´ll stop for a beer just a few kms before heading the city of Girona via the VIA VERDE.
DISTANCE: 103kms & 1,150m+
TAVERNA DEL SUBIRÁ: This is the challenge of the week. A long ride but not too much elevation. Mostly up & down to the beautiful Masia in the Catalan Transversal Mountain Range. This is a spectacular climb, it is long and steady averaging 3% over 19 kilometres. We´ll stop at the top, enjoying a wonderful lunch and coffee before descending down and back to Girona.
DISTANCE: 68kms & 930m+
HINCAPIÉ: Today is the last ride of the week with the gravel version of the famous HINCAPIÉ loop. Start by rolling through the old town and into Celrà before taking a wide gravel path towards Els Àngels. The second climb is up Montnegra and returns to Girona via the VIA VERDE.
